Position Description:

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is seeking a dedicated and organized professional to serve in a dual-capacity role supporting youth development and Summer Youth Job Coach. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through both educational and vocational services, with responsibilities divided between the school year and summer months. Youth Service Specialist (School Year & Summer)

Duties:

Deliver Pre-Employment Transition Services (PreETS) curriculum to high school students in group and one-on-one settings.
Coordinate with school transition teams and internal staff to ensure effective service delivery.
Develop community-based worksites for experiential learning.
Track and report service data, progress, and recommendations.
Provide job coaching and support during the Summer Youth Work Experience Program.
Communicate professionally with students, families, employers, and staff.
Assist youth in developing soft skills and overcoming employment barriers.

Requirements:

Summer Youth Work Experience - Youth Service Specialist From June – August
Effectively and professionally communicate with individuals, parents/guardians, employers and Goodwill staff.
Provide demonstration of task(s) and accurately document assessments, strategies and recommendations.
Identify individual strengths and address barriers to employment such as soft skills, hygiene, etc.
Assist with completion of job task as needed.

Travel:

Driving: Up to 3 Hours per day

Exempt / Hourly
