Position Description:

The Chief Residential Program Officer is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direct supervision to the Residential Program Managers and, provides programmatic leadership. Works with Agency executive leadership, DODD and other agency management to establish and execute long-range goals, strategies, plans, and policies.


Duties:

  • Works in conjunction with the Vice President, other Chiefs and direct reports to initiate and coordinate planning of complex social services.
  • Oversees the allocation and control of residential program resources.
  • Participates in strategic implementation of major programs and changes.
  • Partners with Program Managers to effectively allocate and manage major resources and support services.
  • Responsible for the assignment and delegation of tasks and projects for Program Managers.
  • Provides professional development for staff and seeks opportunities to increase own knowledge base.
  • Provides appropriate and effective corrective action when required.
  • Provides QA monitoring of all residential program sites.
  • Serves as the Agency point of contact for regulatory reviews and is responsible for ensuring timely completion of POC responses and implementation of plans.
  • Develop systems for accurately monitoring and reporting program compliance internally and externally.
  • Monitor and report problems and progress of residential programs to the President/CEO.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the agency and play a major role in the advocacy for people with disabilities by maintaining an active involvement in the DODD communities.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of new program strategies and regulatory actions impacting the program.
  • Make sure that the strategic plan is effectively carried out in accordance to agency governance.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the program.
  • Ensures timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and industry trends.
  • Endorse innovation and creativity that increases efficiency and productivity.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 4-year degree in a relevant field and 7 years of management experience in DD or related field.
  • An accomplished professional with superior communication, leadership and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn and use other software and systems.
  • Has the desire, ability and energy to lead in an agency that is focused on maintaining a reputation of excellence.
  • Must be able to travel throughout Cuyahoga, Summit and Lake County and work a variable schedule.
