Position Description:

Full-Time, Part-Time & Independent Contractor Opportunities in Central Ohio, Cleveland area, and surrounding counties. Are you a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse who is RN Trainer certified looking to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities? The Academy is seeking dedicated RN Trainers to deliver high-quality DODD medication administration certification courses. We offer both part-time and independent contractor positions providing a flexible and rewarding career opportunity.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive DODD medication administration training, including Category 1, 2, and 3 initial and renewal classes.
  • Equip Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) with the essential knowledge and skills to safely administer medications.
  • Provide engaging and effective training sessions to our client agencies and County Boards.
  • Ensure compliance with all DODD regulations and guidelines.
  • The opportunity to also serve client agencies as a delegating nurse also exists.

 

Requirements:

  • DODD RN Trainer Certified Registered Nurses (RNs) with active Ohio licensure and certification.
  • Experience in training and education, preferably in the healthcare or developmental disabilities field.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within Ohio.
  • Experience in delivering DODD Medication Administration training.
  • Possess a strong understanding of DODD regulations.
  • Passionate about empowering DSPs to provide safe and effective care.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, communicative, and committed to excellence.
  • Occasional travel
