Position Description:
Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is seeking a dedicated and organized professional to serve in a dual-capacity role supporting youth development and Summer Youth Job Coach. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through both educational and vocational services, with responsibilities divided between the school year and summer months. Youth Service Specialist (School Year & Summer)
Duties:
- Deliver Pre-Employment Transition Services (PreETS) curriculum to high school students in group and one-on-one settings.
- Coordinate with school transition teams and internal staff to ensure effective service delivery.
- Develop community-based worksites for experiential learning.
- Track and report service data, progress, and recommendations.
- Provide job coaching and support during the Summer Youth Work Experience Program.
- Communicate professionally with students, families, employers, and staff.
- Assist youth in developing soft skills and overcoming employment barriers.
Requirements:
- Summer Youth Work Experience - Youth Service Specialist From June – August
- Effectively and professionally communicate with individuals, parents/guardians, employers and Goodwill staff.
- Provide demonstration of task(s) and accurately document assessments, strategies and recommendations.
- Identify individual strengths and address barriers to employment such as soft skills, hygiene, etc.
- Assist with completion of job task as needed.

Driving: Up to 3 Hours per day
